Hi there, I think it’s appropriate that I introduce myself. I am Candace Thomas. I am a native to Cache Valley. I love living here so that I can experience all four seasons. I love change! My husband and I have 3 beautiful chitlins. I am a pro at finding lost things, and I secretly write poetry. We Have 2 dogs, and a 20+ year old newt named Ramsey.
Today I can call myself a “photographer”. I love taking photos and I love the freedom that it gives me. When I was in second grade, there was a Photography contest for the whole school, through Kodak. I remember being so excited to take home a camera and get to take photos of whatever I wanted. The 2 submission categories for the contest were “Beautiful”, and “Needs Improvement”. I took a photo of the clouds as my beautiful category. And I won!! I was so excited! I got to go have my picture taken with the other winner and we were presented our very own Camera’s to keep! I could keep going about this fond memory as a young 2nd grader, but I won’t. I will tell you though that it has helped me be who I am today. Here you’ll see me- proof of my awesomenes! The over-sized yellow shirt is a story for another time.
I am also a Hairstylist/cosmetologist. Ever since I can remember, I have always loved doing hair. My way of playing with barbies and dolls as a child was fixing their hair and coordinating their outfits. I kind of just kept that same path to this day. I love my job! I love that I have to option to do both cosmetology and photography together. I feel really blessed to have the knowledge and skills to do what I do. And I love every opportunity I get to use those skills!
Some things about me: I am a social introvert which can make my job more challenging, but It’s totally worth it! I really don’t like to read. which is ironic because I really like writing. I love animals. When I was little I wanted to be a veterinarian. But then I found out I was allergic to cats and some other animals. I get pretty bad seasonal allergies as it is, so I don’t think I would have made it very far as a Vet. I love doing what I do now: being a mom, stylist, and photographer. I have been very blessed and fortunate in my life and I hope that I can in some way make a small difference or impact someone for good. I hope that by doing what I do, it helps others feel beautiful inside and out as they truly are.
Just wanna remark that you have a very decent site, I the design it actually stands out. Kimberly Hillel Evers
